So today at work was full of it's usual fail but that's okay it merely prompts me to write more. Every word typed makes me a sentence closer to leaving soul sucking cubical hell. LOL If you ever think working for a small company is the way to go talk to someone who has first. It isn't all it's cracked up to be.

But in other news I read the calls for submission over at Dreamspinner Press I think I have a decent idea for their "Dr. Feel Good" Anthology. Since the story only needs to be between 3,500 - 12,000 words long I'm in good shape. If this idea keeps rubbing my muse the right way I think I could have the first draft done in a day or two.

Can anyone say muse on fire?

I'm not knocking it, I'm reveling in it! Anyone out there know of a good call for submission they'd like to share?

Another Day in the Life... and Say Hi Lucas

People are strange (an understatement I know) but the human psyche never ceases to amaze and confuse me. I suppose that is why I like to write. This way I can create people that make sense and if one of my characters ends up crazy they are crazy in a way I understand dammit! LOL There's nothing like watching a person preach from their soapbox for no greater reason than the simple fact they have air in their lungs.... for crying out loud (pun intended) have a little bit of purpose.

*sighs* Today has been a long day but at least it is drawing to a nice semi-peaceful close.

Anyway I'd like to introduce you to Lucas he's one of my characters.

Arianna: Say hi to the nice people, Lucas.

Lucas: Uh... hi everyone. Nice to meet you I guess.

Arianna: You guess?


Lucas: I'm just a little uncomfortable you kinda put me on the spot dear creator. You didn't tell me this was a meet and greet.

Arianna: Don't be so shy.

Lucas: I'm not shy I'm anxious, there's a difference.

Arianna: What do you have to be anxious about? They don't bite.


Lucas:  They might not but at times I do and I'd rather not end up on the news tonight.

Arianna: Oh the werewolf thing... I forgot about that. Maybe I should let you go.


Lucas: Perhaps you should. I don't have time for this, as it is, I need to find Xavier.

Arianna:  *giggles*


Lucas: What's so funny?

Arianna: Nothing, nothing at all. Go find your man.

Lucas: He's not my man, you ended our relationship remember?

Arianna: If that's the case why are you looking for him?


Lucas: "..... "


Arianna:  That's what I thought.
